We've been watching our guttering (or at least the wood it is attached to) getting rather rotten! We weren't sure if it was long-past damage that just looked bad, or if it was getting worse. The other day we noticed that a small portion had started to rot so bad that it twisted away from the gutter!
Well, today Jacqui phoned me to say that a fair chunk had broken and fallen by itself just outside the kitchen! So today I got up there and started hacking away at all the wood. Such are the joys of owning property - the maintenance!
Ultimately we need to paint the walls, fix the rafters, do proper guttering and maybe fix some damp and leaking...
