Zachary (and the girls) were invited to Rocco's PIRATE party, and were warned that non-pirates would walk the plank. So what choice did we have but to get them all dressed up?
I went online and found this gorgeous pattern explaining how to make your own pirates hat. The only changes I made was to staple the front of the hat onto a bandanna of Crepe paper which we first tied around their heads. The kids had loads of fun, cutting these out and gluing the sequins on the edges.
Then we dressed them in some pirate looking garb,
added an eye patch and a fake gold earing,
a moustache,
and they were off to go!
Don't they make gorgeous pirates! Ahoy Maties!

In love with Mosaic
Sunday, June 13, 2010
I have really been getting into mosaic, and I am absolutely loving it. I love how forgiving it is because it is not an exact art. I spent one evening infront of the TV while we watch a soccer game, clipping away at my tiles and gluing them into place.
By the following day the glue had dried and all that remained was to grout it. This is such a fun part of the process! I love getting my hands dirty :)
Anyway, here is my finished product.
Another CROSS for my lounge wall where we will soon be hanging my cross collection. Yay!
