For most people this has come as a complete surprise, but I have for the last 8 months had my eye on these wooden, Celtic, Irish harps sold in a little music shop, nestled in the heart of Knysna. Now the reason this comes as a surprise is that I have never played an instrument in all my life :( and I cannot read music.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, on our day off, I dragged Malcolm to come and have a look, and see what he thinks of them. These pictures are of me having a turn on a harp, with the shop owner teaching me some basics. Well the rest is history and I have a new baby!
Although I kept doubting my sanity, I mean where am I going to find the time to learn to play and practice?, God has blessed me so much. I find that I am able to steal little moments to practice, and the kids seem to quietly understand that Mom needs some time to herself. What a blessing.

A walk to Noetzie Castles
Saturday, April 17, 2010
Today we enjoyed a day off and decided to drive out to the Noetzie Castles and see them for ourselves. The drive was very interesting as we got to see Knysna from a totally different angle, only to arrive at a parking lot. It's by foot from there on.
We had heard of this endless flight of stairs, but they didn't seem too bad, ON THE WAY DOWN!
The beach was a beautiful sight and really made us stop and praise our Creator once again.
A Quick picture or two of the family...minus mum

This is the view from the beach. I am not too o fee with their history or current goings on, but they are really gorgeous.
Walking up to Lindsay Castle...
I've heard that they're very pricey to stay in, but worth it if you have the money.

I'm not sure when Lindsay Castle was built, but it has been recently worked on.
We came back by the footpath that hugs the natural Forrest.
After our lovely wanderings we had to face those stairs again. Has anyone counted them? Anyway, we managed with a couple of breathers in between.
It was definitely worth the trip out there and next time family from Joeys comes to visit we'll pack a picnic, check the tide and take you there! Promise!
